Office ergonomics
An IT workstation, if poorly designed or operated, can cause worrisome health problems. Symptoms commonly associated with a problematic workstation include discomfort, back, neck and shoulders, hands, and wrists pain, headaches and eye strain. An optimal and functional design will avoid both the development of musculoskeletal disorders (MSD) and unnecessary purchases to try to alleviate these ailments.
Make desktop ergonomics available virtually
Some employees with special medical conditions may benefit from a visit from a certified ergonomist or occupational therapist virtually or onsite. With the health procedures that we have put in place following the recommendations of the INSPQ, it is now possible for us to carry out interventions both virtually and face-to-face, and this, in complete safety.
Interventions adapted to your reality
Our team of ergonomists can advise and support you in identifying the appropriate solutions. In most cases, the solutions can be relatively simple and inexpensive. At Intergo, we consider that workers' autonomy in adjusting their workstations is essential to reduce irritants. With this in mind, we offer various support and training services that provide your employees with the necessary resources and knowledge to adjust their workstations according to their own needs. When necessary, we will also be able to advise and guide you towards purchasing new equipment that will meet both your needs and your budget.
Concrete application examples
Individual intervention with an ergonomist
- Adjustments to the various components of the workstation (ref. : screen, chair, keyboard, other relevant equipment, etc.);
- Teaching of office ergonomics principles;
- Providing a checklist;
- Preparation of a report summarizing observations and adjustment recommendations.
Group conference with the possibility of individual interventions
This is a training that can be presented to your team to prevent the onset of musculoskeletal disorders. An ergonomist will develop tailor-made training for your company according to your reality. The training approach is based on the empowerment and education of your employees.
Following the conference, the ergonomist will be able to carry out a more personalized follow-up lasting 15 to 20 minutes with your team members. A report summarizing the recommendations deemed essential will also be provided to enable you to meet the needs of your employees.
Outsourcing
Responding to your employees' requests for position adjustments and office ergonomics consulting can sometimes be complex. Still, it's also not always realistic or possible to hire a full-time specialist for this purpose. To meet this growing need, our team of ergonomists can assist you in managing your files, both in terms of prioritization, training and interventions with your employees.
This will allow you to meet your needs on a timely basis with advanced predefined visits and remote support from an experienced ergonomist via a pre-established bank of hours.
